For 20 years at WINE magazine and Classic Wine Magazine, my responsibilities were organising the audited monthly tastings, wine competitions like the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show and Diners Club Winemaker of the Year to name a few. Vertical and public tastings were also a regular occurrence. This has educated me in all things wine related and I have built a wonderful relationship with the winemakers and producers in the industry.
Organising the Awards functions for these competitions as well as the Top 100 Restaurant Guide and Dine Guide was also part of my portfolio and as a result I have a great relationship with the Top Chefs and they have assisted me with various events and fund raisers.
